Our Trip to California and Disneyland!!

What is more fun than spending time with Family and taking a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth?! You got me!!!

Ashleigh was pretty interested in playing with Grace, it was pretty darn cute!!!!

All 4 old enough to play in the sand box, Austin had a great time with Jack, Grace, and Hope as he always does :)

My favorite memory of the trip was Ashleigh cracking up at Minnie Mouse! It was so adorable.

Austin and Dad were going for a ride on the rockets.. first ride of the day!!!!

teacups were a lot of fun,Austin and I went with Faith and Grace... we made every attempt to avoid getting sick on it :) no spinnin!

We watched the Disneyland Christmas Parade before our mid day break and Austin liked waving to all his favorite characters.... oh and don't forget he saw Santa Claus...

Austin's face on his first roller coaster, he wanted to do it again of course when it was all done! He's quite braver than his Mommy!!!!!!!! teehee...

This was the last ride of the day, Austin and Cole took a ride on Dumbo with Jack, Sarah, Anthony, and Hope while the rest of us including the little ones looked for a place to watch the fireworks and snow... Wow! It was pretty crowded to say the least, probably the most people I can ever remember seeing there, but worth it :)

Getting Ready for Christmas!

I love setting up all the Christmas decorations especially now with the little ones to enjoy it. This was lil Miss Ashleigh's first Christmas, so we were pretty excited.. this was pre decorations on Thanksgiving Day we at least pulled it out of the box (the tree) .....

now with some ornaments on the tree, the kids loving eachother and Austin getting excited about the idea Christmas is coming!!!!! He said Mommy the decorations are so beautiful! How fun Christmas is when you enjoy it through the eyes of our kids.

Bicycle Riding

Our new family outing:

Sunday Cole asked, " ya want to take the kids out on the Mountain Bikes?"... for once I was like sure sounds fun. So, we bundled the peanut up and put them both in the bike trailer behind Cole's bike of course :). It was a lot of fun, and nice to spend time outside. Ashleigh decided it was going to be a shorter ride than we may have liked, but it was still fun and looking forward to doing it as a Family again soon. It's nice that our bikes and trailer that have been in the garage for 2 years this Christmas are going to be getting some use!!!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!

Tis the Season to be jolly.....

Smiling Big...

Cole and I were able to enjoy a night out Saturday and celebrate 2 friend's Birthdays... It's not often we do this, so it was a great time. Ashleigh is a older so we felt ok with going and not worrying too much! We went to dinner and karaoke at Sonrisa Mexican Restaurant out at Lake Las Vegas, the food was fabtabulous and the scenery out there is unbeatable. We had to stop and take a picture in front of the Christmas Tree on the throne.. oh yeah!! Will have to do it for a christmas card picture of the Family I am thinkin. Speaking of Christmas, the carols are already playing on 106.5(I was driving and jammin out to them today)... the decorations are going up all around, in the stores Thanksgiving stuff is nearly gone and Christmas is out on display... The joy that this Holiday brings is unbeatable! We are very excited to begin preparing for Ashleigh and Austin's First Christmas together! Woohoo, here's to the Birth of Christ our Savior and remembering that he is the reason we celebrate this time of year :) God Bless

OUCH!!!

My rough tough Baby Girl...... watchout, because she bites, pulls hair and doesn't let go, slaps and laughs. I think she is much rougher than Austin was, so Boy watchout. As of the moment she is practicing her vocal skills, LOL.

PERFECT EXAMPLE of her roughness:
yesterday morning I was getting ready for work, feeding, entertaining, bathing and dressing the kids... By the time I got to dress Ashleigh she was not interested to say the least. She's now 18.8 lbs and determined to not get her clothes on, which makes it quite the challenge( rolling, kicking and screaming.. lol). Finally one kid down and one to go... She is setting examples now for Austin and he has decided it's funny to watch me struggle to dress them. So, of course he puts me through much of the same torture which I can't help but laugh about otherwise cry, right? So finally putting on Austin's pants and here comes his little parter (Ash) pulls up on my back and literally RIPS my hair out~! picture it two hands pulling up Austin's pants as my head flys back into Ashleigh and I scream in pain!! CLASSIC.. had to share. They both looked at me like ooopppps...... hehe Hope you have a great Week!!! much love from us at the Penny House

Happy Halloween

I suppose it's a little late, but better late than never!!! :) Here are some pictures from Halloween of the kiddies....... Hope you enjoy them.

The kids were adorably cute even though they weren't feeling all so well. We made the best of it, and Austin was pretty funny trick or treating. He wasn't so sure he loved the idea when it was just him, but man the minute the 4 kids that live across the street from Gramma and Grampa came into the picture.. that all changed. It was fun to watch!! Ashleigh hung out in the stroller looking cute with her feet up like a princess. It was like any fun and exciting Holiday for 3 year olds, Austin wanted to trick or treat every night the following week :) Oh and if you ask him his Birthday is next week! I am sure most of you have heard that a time or two from your little ones!!

Woohoo I did it, Finally!!!

Hmmm, well... I am pretty excited that I have finally started a Family blog! Cole just walked in with a HOT starbucks, whoohoo.. I will take a minute to bring you up to speed on some things we have been up to. I am still working at Fidelity and am also doing my first show as a Lia Sophia Advisor for Stephanie next Tuesday!! (If you would like to host a show and get free jewelry, let me know :)) Mom and I started about 7 weeks ago doing Monday night Woman's Study at Central, and it has been such a great experience. Austin gets pretty excited to go every week, Daddy and Ashleigh get to spend the night together.

Speaking of Austin he has been talking a lot about playing soccer and we are excited to sign him up soon. He is 3 going on 18, and truely believes he knows best about everything. He loves to tell us how it's going to be and test the waters. He is always coming up with the funniest little things to say. "Daddy don't ever do that again" " I am going to finish my junk food first" "Mommy this is your show, not mine" "Mommy you are my bestfriend, and Daddy and Ashleigh and Gramma and Grampa and Jackson and on and on and on.. he goes :)" it's a crack up what all kids think of and pick up on. He doesn't miss a beat, and if you tell him something you can count on him not forgetting if it is anything other than orders. The selective memory that I recall his Uncle having when we were kids is already showing up in his little personality. Austin loves being a big brother, and is very careful around his sister. He loves his cousins in California and talks about them frequently. Speaking of cousins, I am expecting to be an Auntie and no not to Josh's child.. lol. Congrats Jon and Melissa!

Cole has been working at the IBEW for going on 8 years now. He is an Awesome Dad, and still acts like the goofball he's always been (see below). We're working on him making time to do Daddy things with the guys. He and Austin are heading to Dumont this Saturday with the Boys for the day. Mommy and Ashleigh will be doing a garage sale!!
Now that Ashleigh is 8 months she is soo interactive and is pretty vocal too... go figure. We thought maybe the 2nd child would be a little more quiet and reserved. SO FAR, not so much but we figure what can we really expect with the 2 of us as their parents, Right? She got her first 2 teeth on the 26th after many months of teething... a moment of relief :) She is crawling at the speed of light pulling herself up, mocking her brother and trying to put anything and everything in her mouth. She loves jewelry, it's soo fun to watch her get excited about it. Her nickname that has been given by countless sources is "Chunky Monkey" she is a total doll and is always smiling. What a riot it is to watch her maul her Brother, we can already tell she will be beatin up on him plenty... He doesn't quite know what to do when she gets aggressive, so he just takes it. She loves to dance, clap, and sing... I love watching her get into the music, it is the cutest thing.

Well, that is a good start, and I am sooooo tired! So God Bless and I will be updating shortly. YEEEEHAAAW tomorrow is Friday :) Cheers! THE PENNYS <3
